The Reality Bites!

Life is not all a beach. We are now in Changuanas our home for the next 10 months and it is far removed from those beaches in Tobago.

Its hot, conjested, noisy and urban but the food is great so we will be fine.

The girls are settling into their new school well. Iona was a bit upset when she was presented with a Test and we will have to help her catch up with her class mates over the summer.Zoe seems to be doing well and is very pleased to have new friends.

We have been into the rainforest for an amazing walk/swim through gorges high up in the mountains. The plants birds and butterflies were beautiful.

Mosquitoes are being well fed since our arrival and 'the dog wisperer'(David) has tamed two guard dogs so we can now get into our house! However they still view Iona as a tasty snack.

Having rpoblems uplaoding images so you will have to imagine.

Stop press: Ruth has a Mobile Phone. Repeat Ruth has a mobile or Cell as they are known here.Doesn't know how to use is as instructions are in Spanish!

Not yet missing home...

Hi Teem Websta! Good to hear you're settling in and it is something very different to the 'norm', makes it all the more worthwhile! We have also set up a blog spot, stat-online.blogspot.com so the girls can keep in touch.

Hello there then! Wow that beach and the weather looks fab, just like Grange - not! It's been so wild and windy here today that we even had breakers in the bay. It sounds like you're having a great time and some good adventures and learning some really useful skills - I'm sure dog whispering will be the first of many. Alex wants to know what the girls bedroom looks like, how big the dogs are compared to Iona and can they understand what their new friends are saying? We're all well here, especially Peppi who has just returned from a two week jolly in Scotland getting his back fixed. Miss you all, love N, P, A & T xx
