The last few weeks have been spent getting ready for a childrens holiday club run at the church.The week was a great success with 40 children aged 3 -14 attending for five days with activities to keep them busy from 9am ato 3pm. The theme was Champions Challenge a sporting theme following on from Olympic fever. David was responsible for sports sessions for each group between rain showers! Ruth was one of the main group leaders and you can see her above with her group of 11-14 yra olds, the Orange Tigers. As well as sports , bible study, quizzes and games, there were craft activities including tie dieing T shirts in taem colours. The week included a day out at a swimming pool and finished off with a special youth service at church. This has been one of the busiest weeks we have had since arriving and one of the most fun.
